If you haven’t visited the San Diego Zoo recently, now’s the time to go! Located in Balboa Park just 15 minutes from Coronado Beach Resort, the Zoo always has something new.
Babies, Babies, Babies!
The Zoo is always announcing new births. Stop by the hippo pool to watch five-month-old Devi frolic with her mother, check out the baby capybaras at the Elephant Odyssey habitat, or ooh and aah over jaguar Nindiri’s new cub.
Enhanced Asian Leopard Exhibit
Asian leopards are among the most endangered animals in the world. The Zoo plans to expand its breeding program with its new exhibit, which was designed to encourage natural behaviors like climbing.
Zoo Centennial
Get ready to roar! The Zoo kicks off its 100th birthday celebration in 2016, which culminates on May 21 with a Centennial Community Event at Balboa Park’s Organ Pavilion. Visit sandiegozoo100.org for ongoing events and the latest information.
