What would a visit to our beautiful Coronado Beach Resort be without a day on the beach or beaches? Enjoy our white, sandy beaches on the Coronado Island and the numerous beaches along Southern California's gold coast. Sand, sun and surf are the best combination for the vacation minded.
Silver Strand State Beach
This is a state owned beach located 4.5 miles south of Coronado Village along the Silver Strand, with access by an underpass by Loews Hotel. This beach allows camping, motor homes, RV's and camping. There are fire rings, restrooms, showers and life guards on duty.
Coronado Dog Beach
The dog beach in Coronado is an excellent place to bring your dog, located at the Northern end of the beach next to the Naval Air Station. There is small labeled sandy trail that leads to the water. At Dog beach you can let your dog play Frisbee or run in the surf. There are poop bags located at the entrance of Dog Park, and trash receptacles.
Coronado Municipal Beach
Coronado Municipal Beach offers excellent conditions for swimming and surfing. By any standards this wide, clean, family-friendly beach would be a winner, but it's the setting, the postcard-perfect community of Coronado, that makes it so special.
Mission Beach
Coronado Beach Resort guests can enjoy the Mission Beach area that exists on a stretch known as the Strand. This two-mile area hosts boardwalks, shops, restaurants, beach rental outfits, a lifeguard station and a landmark roller coaster. For returning visitors to the area, the roller coaster is often the source of fond memories and remembered dreams.
Pacific Beach
North of the Mission Bay entrance is the Pacific Beach. Coronado Beach Resort guests can enjoy the narrow cement boardwalk paralleling the beach. They can bike, skate or simply stroll the area. Enjoy sunbathing, surfing or sandcastle building. Southern California's sun-drenched beaches are popular destinations for our guests.
Ocean Beach
Ocean Beach is one of the many beaches that Coronado Beach Resort guests can spend the day at. Just south of the Mission bay channel entrance, the beach is about a mile long. The Municipal Pier is available for strolling and fishing. You'll find a bait shop located right there on the pier and you don't have to worry about a fishing license, but make sure you know the catch regulations. Dog owners enjoy the area set aside for them where the dogs are allowed to run free to romp and surf with their owners, although owners still need to make sure they clean up after them. Check out the commercial establishments all along the beach area including shops, restaurants and more.
